Recorded by A. P. Elkin of the University of Sydney Expedition in the field in 1949 and 1952, this is a rare pressing with unusual album cover artwork resembling a Mesoamerican setting rather than an Australian one. Possibly the first commercially-produced music featuring Australian Aboriginal singing.
