Burrngupurrngu is a specialist yidaki craftsman. This
is a very well made yidaki with a narrow neck and a
large bell end.
Entirely natural termite-eaten bore. Excellent back pressure
and responsiveness. Fast acoustics and an overtone note like
a foghorn! Ochre decoration throughout.
A superb yidaki! Great depth to acoustics, wonderful
back pressure, easy smooth overtones, superb attack response,
and a classical traditional voice! This instrument has been
painted with the Galpu designs of Burrnguburrngu's mother,
depicting Wititj the Olive Python.
