Up Country": Indigenous arts at the Adelaide Festival
2004. The Adelaide Festival is one of Australia's premier arts
festivals with a major Indigenous component. Heaps of events
including dance and theatre performances, art exhibitions, dance
workshops, music performances, literature, various workshops,
and forums. Of special interest are the Yolngu dance workshop
with Djakapurra Munyarryun, yidaki workshop with Yolngu from
Dhalinybuy, performance by David Gulpilil, Bangarra triple bill
performance, Yugul band from Ngukurr in Arnhem Land, and dance
performance by Banduk Marika and Djakapurra. Various venues
