How much do you know about the didgeridoo and Australian
Indigenous cultures? Have a go at the iDIDJ Quiz to see what
your iDIDJ iQ is. You may use any resource available to you
to find the answers but please do not ask iDIDJ Australia
for hints or answers as we will not tell you! A maximum of
3 entries may be submitted by any one person.
The first correct entry (all 40 questions must be answered
correctly) wins a wonderful yidaki made by Bandamul
Munyarryun. Bandamul is a member of the Wangurri clan and
lives in Dhalinbuy outstation in north-east Arnhem Land. The
yidaki, pictured below, is 141 cm long and plays in
the key of F with an overtone of G. This is a fine specimen
and an outstanding traditional instrument made from stringybark
and decorated with Wangurri sacred designs in ochres. Shipping
of the instrument to the winner is also included as part of
the prize.
Entries close on the 1st of August 2004. The winner's name
and the answers to the iDIDJ Quiz will be published here on
the 2nd of August 2004. The winning entry will be contacted
by email so please make sure your email address is correctly
