March 2004
|
March is the post-wet
flowering season or Mayaltha
in the Yolngu language. Rain eases, flowers bloom, birds lay
eggs, and animals give birth to young. Mukuluk grass
falls with last big rain, signalling that it is time to gather
Gurrumattji mapu or magpie goose eggs.
