August is Rarranhdharr
in the Yolngu language, the hot dry season. It is also the
time of Garma, an Indigenous cultural festival that has been
running since 1999. Garma is the brainchild of Mandawuy Yunupingu,
distinguished Australian and lead singer for the Yothu Yindi
band.
